Thank you for taking the time answer :-)
Your projects are very interesting, looking at it gives me the
confidence on the capability of this little chip.
I managed to resolve the DHCP issue along with the help of the good
folks here and some Freescale support. Now I am able to obtain an IP
quite reliably. This is using OpenTCP.
My project is to have a bunch of NE64 nodes connected to a switch,
these nodes will basically act as clients and on the nodes are some
relays and LEDs. I will turn on/off these from a PC. Its a simple
remote I/O kind of application, so I dont need all the fancy
protocols, just basic TCP/UDP packet transfer.

I cant agree more, it is indeed very cheap, I have bought 2 already,
I also got the Axiom's EVB9S12NE64, but I find the DEMONE64 quite
sufficient for most of the task.

I wont buying them anytime soon, atleast not till Q3'06. I think re-
selling is not permitted, anyways, when I do get the numbers, I can
keep a small block for my own use and give away the rest.

So far the code size is around 12K, I should start looking into gcc
for larger projects. Apart from gcc, is there any commercial HCS12
compiler for the linux platform?
Once I finish up this project, I would like port a UPnP stack to the
NE64, I just want to build the infamous Intel UPnP Light Bulb as a
teaching aid for a class. Not sure if anyone has already done some
work on UPnP on the NE64.
