Log2Phy Issue???? - bkmo...@jlg.com - Apr 13 14:01:20 2007

Hi all,

I've got bootloaders written for the DP256(B) and DP512 MCUs. I was
testing downloading to all of the pages by org'ing a test string at the
beginning and end of each page window like this:
org $208000
fcb 'Test Page 30Lo'
org $20Bff2
fcb 'Test Page 30Hi'
org $218000
fcb 'Test Page 31Lo'
org $21Bff2......

Resulting S2 file looks like (spaces added for clarity):

S2 12 208000 5465737420506167652033304C6FD2
S2 12 20BFF2 5465737420506167652033304869AB
S2 12 218000 5465737420506167652033314C6FD0
S2 12 21BFF2 5465737420506167652033314869A9

Using Log2Phy to linearize the output:

S2 12 080000 5465737420506167652033304C6F6A
S2 14 083FF2 5465737420506167652033304869546588
S2 10 084002 737420506167652033314C6FE2
S2 14 087FF2 5465737420506167652033314869546547

As you can see when log2phy formats the S2 record the first one is
OK, but the second one pulls two bytes from the the third one. When
programming the flash through the page window, the second record crossed
over from $Bfff to $C000 which fails because that looks like it should be
programmed into the unbanked flash. If I convert the same original S2 with
SRECCvt it correctly spits out the new S2 like this:

S2 14 080000 5465737420506167652033304C6FFFFF6A
S2 14 083FF0 FFFF546573742050616765203330486945
S2 14 084000 5465737420506167652033314C6FFFFF29

Which works fine, I was just wondering if anyone else has seen this or I am
doing something wrong???

Thanks,
