Robert, Please note the 9S12DP256 does not support the Pierce crystal configuration. It only supports the Colpitts crystal configuration or an external 2.5V square-wave clock generator. (Pierce crystal is more robust, Colpitts is less robust but consumes less power). The ability to handle Pierce crystal, Colpitts crystal or external clock-generator is found only in all the other MC9S12D family members - i.e. 9S12Dx512, 9S12Dx128, 9S12Dx64 and 9S12D32, as well as 9S12DT / J / G256 - latest mask-set 0L91N. Hello The discussion around the D60A oscillators is prompting me to finally take the leap to build a first circuit board around the 112 pin version of the 9S12DP256 (or one of the pin-compatible other derivatives with fewer CAN ports). Would anyone be willing to share their Eagle design for the cpu library part, or may be even the "core" design with the oscillator circuitry? with much gratitude Robert Imhoff |
