For users of the Atmel AT91SAM7 and AT91SAM9 ARM CPU chips. Atmel has taken a new direction by combining on chip flash and ram with the ARM CPU on a single die. This provides low cost devices for small systems using the ARM CPU. This group is to exchange information to help users get started and learn how to use the devices.

Boot from dataflash problem - Paulo Silva - Feb 28 14:30:40 2008

Hi all,

I boutgh an Olimex SAM9-L9260 board that cames with linux running from nand flash, but I neew to run my application from dataflash.
I followed the instructions on http://www.linux4sam.org/twiki/bin/view/Linux4SAM/AT91Bootstrap to put a bootstrap into dataflash, after this I thing that when I reset the board with a terminal connected into dbgu board connector, I should not see romBoot prompt, because it would find the bootstrap into the dataflash, and put it into internal sram and execute it.
This thought is correct? What am I doing wrong?

Best regards
