For users of the Atmel AT91SAM7 and AT91SAM9 ARM CPU chips. Atmel has taken a new direction by combining on chip flash and ram with the ARM CPU on a single die. This provides low cost devices for small systems using the ARM CPU. This group is to exchange information to help users get started and learn how to use the devices.

Help for compiling glibc with nptl support for arm - Virupax SS - Jun 5 8:06:16 2008

Hi
I am using at91sam9260 and i am trying to compile glibc 2.3.5 with nptl
support for this board .
I am not been able to do it as there is no patch for the nptl support for
arm and no __thread support in the gcc.
The patch in below link
http://xcgl-port.sourceforge.net/patches/arm-nptl-0.20.diff
also fails.
i also have tried compiling glibc using crosstool and failed.

does any one know , is it possible to compile the glibc with nptl support
for arm.
or if some body has done it pls tell me how to go about.

It will be very help ful
regards
virupax
