For users of the Atmel AT91SAM7 and AT91SAM9 ARM CPU chips. Atmel has taken a new direction by combining on chip flash and ram with the ARM CPU on a single die. This provides low cost devices for small systems using the ARM CPU. This group is to exchange information to help users get started and learn how to use the devices.

TWI on SAM7x - tasbihmr - Feb 24 1:35:23 2009

Hello,
I have a question regarding the TWI interface on the SAM7x device. As
far as I know, the TWI interface is used to interface some devices
that are able to respond on this type of interface. I looked at the
ATMEL examples and there was the example to use with the AT24 EEPROM.
Is there anybody that has worked with the TWI interface and has some
experience with it? For example, as far as I can tell, I could see no
difference in initializing a memory TWI device or a sensor, and even
reading from the TWI interface, for example reading a byte is the same
as reading form the device or from a sencksr device.
Thank you and regards.
