Find help, specifications and source code for the LPC900. The LPC900 challenges Microchip and AVR based on the worlds most popular 8-bit architecture the 80C51. With a 2-clock core the LPC900 series is a high performance, very flexible and low cost 8-bit microcontroller family. Designers using or interested in these devices are encouraged to share their know-how and ask questions.

Saving power during stand by - lpc2100_fan - Jul 30 2:42:00 2004

Hi,
today I saw an article about the overall power consumption generated
by devices in stand by mode. It can be found here:
http://biz.yahoo.com/ap/040728/good_question_1.html
In the end there was a statement that reducing the stand by power of
all electronic devices out there by 1% would save us a mid-size power
plant.

Let's turn off our PCs while not in use and let's use combinations of
very low stand by current devices together with high performance
devices. The LPC900 could be a great stand by microcontroller to
control the LPC2000 family micros.

Cheers, Bob
