Find help, specifications and source code for the LPC900. The LPC900 challenges Microchip and AVR based on the worlds most popular 8-bit architecture the 80C51. With a 2-clock core the LPC900 series is a high performance, very flexible and low cost 8-bit microcontroller family. Designers using or interested in these devices are encouraged to share their know-how and ask questions.
Which clock source to use? - lpc900 - Aug 14 19:56:00 2004
The LPC900 family members have a very decent internal oscillator
called IRC and another internal oscillator for the watchdog. This can
save some money and reduce problems with EMI if the internal
oscillator is sufficient. I would be very interested who in this
group is using the internal IRC or using external clock sources.
Reason for internal is clear, saving money but if external, I would be
interested why. Is there a problem using the internal RC that I am
not aware of?
TIA for your feedback.
