Find help, specifications and source code for the LPC900. The LPC900 challenges Microchip and AVR based on the worlds most popular 8-bit architecture the 80C51. With a 2-clock core the LPC900 series is a high performance, very flexible and low cost 8-bit microcontroller family. Application Hint PWM Timer 0 and Timer 1 Mode 6 - philips_apps - Aug 19 12:08:00 2004
This is a new mode that did not exist in the original 80C51 and allows
to generate an 8-bit PWM with either T0 or T1 or both. One example of
usage would be an electronic dimmer. Consider it an 8-bit DAC just
using a simple RC filter.
Summary: If you are in need of a simple PWM look into mode 6 of the
Timers 0 and 1 in the User's Manual description.
p.s. we will continue to post application hints for the time being and
hope this forum will have similar success as the LPC2000 forum that
turned out to host a very knowledgable community of embedded designers.
