Version 1.8 ICP specs - Fausto Marzoli - Jan 18 13:58:00 2005

I've read these new version of the ICP specs.

There is still at least one MACROSCOPIC error: I think you will never ICP
program anything using this specifications.

And you're not going to tell us what the error is?

Talk about a cliff-hanger story!

Come on, out with the details!

I guess why the Philips Apps are so efficient in posting advertising, while
they can't give a correct specification or at least a code sample about ICP.

Well, I will do their work: one of the dumb errors in the ICP specifications
is the load page length. I've tried on LPC931 and LPC925 and page length is
64 bytes (NOT 16 bytes as in the specs). I will try on LPC903 next days.

Another error is the WR_FMDATA_I vs. WR_FMDATA_PG instructions. I've found
that you must use the WR_FMDATA_I also when loading page registers NOT
partially. Otherwise the ICP doesn't works.

These are only two of the errors/lacks I've found in the LPC900 family docs: I
can't do a complete errata here.

Unfortunately I must say that while Philips in the past has always distributed
a very good documentation, with LPC900 family it's publishing very bad and
lacking specs and datasheets.
:-(
