Reliable USB on the Mega8? - Stuart Whelan - Sep 15 20:38:00 2004

Hello Folks,

Just wondering if anyone has mucked around with the Igor Mega8 USB implementation?

If so, did you find it reliable and stable?

I am aware of the limitations, (8 byte payload and low speed only) and they are fine for the project I have in mind.

I have fired the code into a Mega8 sitting into a STK500 with a 12Mhz chip, and set VTG to 3.5 volts..

Sometimes it works, most of the time I just get a USB Device unrecognised.

When it starts working it will work for ages until it finally stops again, but I don’t know why it is starting to work, or why it is stopping.

Anyone else played around with this?

Kind Regards,
Stuart Whelan
