How can I interface a PS/2 mouse to an 89c51 uc? I need it to use the
encoder in my robot for its navigation.

Hi,
The following has good explanation regarding handling the PS/2 mouse. Even though the referring project uses AVR the description is generic so that you can adopt to any type of microcontroller. Even I am trying to do the same.
