At the begining .... - ydexter - May 22 3:24:00 2003

Hello all!

I started micros odisee with PIC 16F84A. I saw many and many examples
on the WEB with Atmel AVR microcontroller. I am curiuos about this
kind of micro and I want to hear if Atmel or any other offers a dev
kit, all-in-one. If not, what are the suitable tools for development?
More advices for begining with Atmel micros will be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi (what ever you name may be)!

Check for STK 500 at
http://www.atmel.com/dyn/products/tools_card.asp?tool_id=2735

STK500 supports all AVR devices.

STK501 is a plug-in module with a Zero Insertion Force (ZIF) socket for
ATmega103 and ATmega128.

STK500 includes pushbuttons, LED's and RS232 interface. The I/O ports
are accessible through header connectors on the edge of the board. The
STK500 can also be used for In System Programming (ISP) of AVR devices
in other applications.

Kind regards,
