help on remote control - Reid - Aug 21 15:09:00 2003
I would like to use a very small stepping motor with atmel chip. I am
looking for a schematic or information that we can control the stepping
motor with TV remote. I found a small TV remote and would like to use it to
control the stepping motor. I would like to use stepping motor to adjustment
the len for focus. I am planning to build a small plastic frame with a
stepping motor with rubber wheel on the lens. I was going to make gears on
the len but it is too complicateand make a plastic gears. Does anyone know
where I can find a very small stepping motor. Has anyone have done this
before? I am very new on Atmel. I am starting to learn how to use AT90S1200.
Any suggest would be appreciate.
Forgiving for my poor english. I tried my best to explain it.

I would suggest you start learning on the AT90S2313.

A simple interface to infrared is available from eclectic-electrics.com. The
device that they sell uses a 90s1200 to decode the infrared for a simple
remote. While not on that website, I could get the source code for this module. I
know that the program memory of the 1200 is only about 60% full so there would
be enough memory to add a basic stepper moter driver. If this is of any
interest, contact me at asmiyakawa@asmi...
