Sharp detector GP2D15 - kfk256 - Oct 7 13:25:00 2002

Can anyone please provide info on interfacing the sharp GP2D15
infrared detector with the Bx24. And can i combine two of these with
an OR gate chip for a single side of my robot.please provide any
little detail,i'm a rookie; any problem i might encounter (including
solution) and any other option i have available.
I'm building an self contained robot(for my senior project) from
a radio shack tracked R/C vehicle and i plan to use 8 of these sensors
(two on every side) to detect and avoid objects. It's my first
project,so go easy on me. I chose this sensor because of its logic
output,i thought it will save me the trouble of dealing with voltage
ranges.Thank you in advance.
