Looking at http://stage.itp.nyu.edu/~jn429/playsound/ and trying to make something that's sort of a digital sampler player, I was wondering if the 32k eeprom in the basicx stamp is easily replacable? |

Sure. If your very adept at desoldering SMT devices. ;) For most purposes, I'd say that it's not easily replaceable. |

Nope, same number of pins. But rather than try to duplicate this functionality, why not look into a device that does the job, like the ISD sound record chips, or the Audiovox MP3 player if you need hifi?
