Take a look at the picture named bx24essais in the photos section.
Do you see any problem using a 3 position switch like this?
Thanks for your answers.

I don't know any of the technical details about the SitePlayer.
However, it seems to me that if the drivers that you show are
necessary for compute<-->SitePlayer communication and they're not
needed for computer<-->BX24 communition then it stands to reason that
they will be needed for BX24<-->SitePlayer communication.

If not, what am I missing?

I haven't worked with SitePlayer for awhile but, if I recall, it's RS232
is inverted; BX-24's RS232 is not inverted. If that is correct, your
switch scheme will not work. The inverters should only handle
SitePlayer data.

You also do a wire-OR on the output of one of those inverters; I also
doubt that will work since the inverter output driver is probably a
totem-pole, not open collector; and, if it is an open collector output,
a pullup is missing.

You might try asking if this or something similar has been done on the
SitePlayer group: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/siteplayer/. Tom
