Keypad missing... - Alex Chaihorsky - Sep 29 14:01:00 2005
I bought several days ago the LCD+2 Development Kit and when it came
the Keypad was missing. I left a message on BASICX sales machine last
Friday but nobody called back. This is what the description said:
"Development kit contains everything you need to start developing with
LCD+2. Kit includes; 1 LCD+2 Display, 16 key keypad and interconnect
cables, LCD mounting bezel, download cable, wall transformer and screw
terminal connectors for connecting IO and ADCs."
I hate to think that I paid extra $60 for a transformer and serial
cable that I do not need.
Can anyone from basicx tell me what is going on?
Alex.

Well, this bulletin board is not an official Netmedia list. We are
just a bunch of interested users.
It would be best to contact the place you bought the kit from, or
Netmedia directly. Their official webiste is www.basicx.com as far as
I know.

1. That may or may not be really true because as far as I know - they
own this forum.
2. I did ring them and left a message almost a week ago - not a word
back.
3. The quality of their service affects us all.
Alex.

This group was started by a user (see message #2, if you wish) and grew
outside of Netmedia's control. It is true that an employee moderated
for a time but he has moved on; he no longer works for them. To the
point, Netmedia sales will not see your grievance here.
If you did not receive what you ordered, I suggest that you email
Sales@Sale..., several times with different Subject lines, if
necessary. If you purchased with a credit card, also challenge the
charge; that will, guaranteed, get attention.
Meanwhile, any 4x4 matrix keypad, or one to 16 switches configured that
way, will work to get you started.

Thank, Tom.
Certainly there is no shortage in 16 key pads out there, including my
own cabinets. I just remembered from years ago that they did monitor
this group.
Alex.
