I need some help on relays. For my atmospheric climate control system
Im gunna need the microcontroller to switch a multiple larger loads.
Do i need multiple relays or can i buy one which will switch all of my
loads?
For the fist phase of experimentation Im going to try to switch a light
on. The light is powered by two 55w bulbs (110w AC). Could someone
please explain to me what type of relay i need.
The light will only ever be switched on/off twice a day so I dont think
i would gain the speed benefits of a solid state relay. Perhaps that is
overkill.
Im likely to have multiple output devices needing to be switched.
Possibly in excess of 10 different devices.
Could someone point me in the right direction please (if only something
to get me started and practicing with switching ac loads).
I've been looking at various relays but im unsure of which one to get.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The best thing to use is a Solit-State-relay.
It's a device with 4 pins.
2 pins are for a LED inside the device.
and 2 pins are the switch.
The big advantage is that it's a non mechanical device.
It can be driven directly from the BX-24 just like a normal LED.
Just a resitor in series to limit the current trough the LED.
I use the SHARP S202S02.
