Playsound - sunilstm - Jan 24 4:19:00 2006

Hi,

Could someone help direct me as to how to use the playsound function.
Has anyone used the playsound function to play a sound file ? How does
one store a say .wav file into the EEPROM or a raw file into EEPROM.

thanks

See the Application Note in your Basic-X documentation: "Using BasicX
Block Data Objects with PlaySound". Tom

I believe that this is one of the best PlaySound tutorial that you will
find.

Turning Sharp GP2D12 sensors on and off - Tim Chapman - Jan 25 0:30:00 2006

Has anyone tried using a FET or BJT or other means to turn the Sharp GP2D12
sensors on and off instead of leaving them on all the time.

I tried using a 2N7000, 2N2222, 2N3906 and 2N3907s with mixed results. In
most cases, I am not getting power all the way to the rails so the sensor
gets full voltage. Then it gives me inconsistent output.

Any suggestions?

Tim,

I have not tried a transistor, but you might consider a small relay.
