i need much more storage space than the 32kb that is provided on my bx24. i have been looking over old posts and so far the only way ive found is to switch the existing 32k eeprom with a 64k eeprom. however i do not have the resources to change out surface mount components. i need the maximum amount of storage space possible. does anyone know how to add more storage space? thanks, steve______________________________
If you need the EEPROM for data storage and not for program memory, consider an outboard EEPROM. I have an example at http://www.phanderson.com/bx24/spieeprom.html P H Anderson, http://www.phanderson.com/basicx/ --- In basicx@basi..., "rauseo82" <rauseo82@...> wrote: > > i need much more storage space than the 32kb that is provided on my > bx24. i have been looking over old posts and so far the only way ive > found is to switch the existing 32k eeprom with a 64k eeprom. however > i do not have the resources to change out surface mount components. i > need the maximum amount of storage space possible. does anyone know > how to add more storage space? > > thanks, > steve >
A Dallas 1 wire device might also work, check out this link -> http://www.maxim-ic.com/1-Wire.cfm to see what is offered and more D1Wire info on Mr Andersons website => http://www.phanderson.com/bx24 . If you want to go hog wild* do a google search for SD Card Serial, I'm offline right now but guessing you could find several that might work. Good Luck, Kmac * Finally got "hog wild" into a posting!! --- In basicx@basi..., "pha555" <pha@...> wrote: > > > If you need the EEPROM for data storage and not for program memory, > consider an outboard EEPROM. > > I have an example at http://www.phanderson.com/bx24/spieeprom.html > > P H Anderson, http://www.phanderson.com/basicx/ > > > --- In basicx@basi..., "rauseo82" <rauseo82@> wrote: > > > > i need much more storage space than the 32kb that is provided on my > > bx24. i have been looking over old posts and so far the only way ive > > found is to switch the existing 32k eeprom with a 64k eeprom. however > > i do not have the resources to change out surface mount components. i > > need the maximum amount of storage space possible. does anyone know > > how to add more storage space? > > > > thanks, > > steve > > >______________________________
