Surprised no one responded to this? Here are a couple of links to get you
started, look for the Dallas sample code and rework it for the DS2404.

Post up again if you need additional help. It has been a couple of months
since I worked on DS1Wire routines but will try to help after you give it a
go and get stuck.

Thanks Keith.

I've been at those sites for weeks.
Nothing speciffic for the 2404.
Hopefully something will show up.

Else looks like I'll roll new code.
I need to get my graphic LCD working well first,
then on to the 1-wire.

RE: Re: Dallas DS2404 - Keith McKibbin - Mar 7 13:29:00 2006

JC,

Yea, I ended up rolling my own 1-wire routines to get what I wanted. My
approach was to write subroutines for each command.

I do plan on using a 2404 in a couple of weeks, haven't coded specific to it
yet. Shoot me an email when you get started on the 2404, maybe our schedules
will line up.

Got to admit it is a nice chip => From the datasheet: "The DS2404 contains a
unique lasered ROM, real-time clock/calendar, interval timer, cycle counter,
programmable interrupts, and 4096-bits of SRAM."
