hi, i want to connect a sensor that has an output in RS485. What is
the Maxim part to convert that to RS232? Or other brand parts...

that surface mount right?
I need chips that have Through-hole pins. Any of those?

Yes, must of them today are surfaces mount. Few are dip type ic's.
I found another but is a module already made here is the link:
