questions come from and why. It certainly appears to be from a student - but a student of
what, from where? In my town the _middle_ schools offer an industrial intro that includes a
little about microprocessors, and the kids get some lab time. In other groups I see
questions of character that might be expected from such a student - but, under some
pressure, one recent writer of a series of unintelligible collections of words with a
question mark at the end claimed he was an _Egyptian engineering professor_, without
mentioning specifically where, or the school name. Truly incredible (read: unbelievable),
or pathetically sad.I really want to know if such a question comes from an instructor who
is a day ahead of the curriculum, or from a student that is directed by his professor to
learn on our backs, not from his classroom. And, to be honest, I think my questions might
of had some cynicism in them, even at my hand, for which I apologize. Still, I'd like to
know what causes these spurts of newbie questions three times a year.Tom
