Tom,
You did everything right. There are codes of conduct for anyone who wants to receive
knowledge. The currency here is respect and effort.
His words both in form and in substance were disrespectful same way as some people's
pants are when they hang mid-ass.
These things are never unintended, this is a deliberate attitude.
It would be shameful and detrimental to all of us to allow such behavior here.
Alex.

Adam has, as he promised, left the group, so we are talking amongst
ourselves - but the timing suggests he waited until after he saw how
the responses were trending. I'm still left unsatisfied about what he
was thinking (but I'll not lose much sleep over it).
To be clear, do you think his term "dump/defer" meant he was expecting
more intimate hand-holding instead of pointers to data, products and
schematics, that he could use in turn, to study and understand alone?
That I dumped him off to a datasheet?
I'm stuck with the irony of his horrendous English writing; his email
ended with ...co.uk. Now, now, I chastise myself: not everyone is
skilled in writing, and of course that is true. The reality in this
medium is, though, that _that's all we have_ to judge one by: the
language. Lacking sound, picture and proximity, the words and how
they are used are your only representatives here.
Tom
