bx24 and board of education (parallax). - ribron32 - May 19 11:18:21 2009

I have a bx24 as well as a few basic stamps. I would like to use the bx24 on the BOE, if possible. Has anyone here ever used the bx24 on the BOE? If so is the pins basically the same? I would be very interested in learning of any of the possibilitys of using the bx24, and the boe board.. Thank you _Duane Ribron

Yes, many have used the a BX-24 on a BOE. The hardware is compatible.

I use a BX24 on my Parallax board of education (BOE) regularly. I
have two BOEs; 1 serial and 1 USB. The only problem I've run into is
that the BX24 isn't programmable on the USB board. The BX24 runs just
fine on there but I can't program it. I have a feeling that the ATT
line pulses are being modified by the USB-SERIAL bridge. Whatever the
cause, I haven't spent much time investigating because I also have a
serial board of education and the BX24 works perfectly in all ways on
that board.

The short answer is: Yes, the BX24 will work on your SERIAL board of
education.
