Hello I have ordered DSL service with a DSL-USB modem. I have also order the SitePlayer. I have a few questions as I am not sure about how the devise accesses the internet. With my new DSL-USB modem I must have my pc on at all times for for the SitePlayer to have access to my web page. Is this correct? DSL- USB modem to pc - ethernet card in pc, pc plugged into ethernet hub with siteplayer plugged into the hub. (pc tuned on) DSL-USB modem----------pc---------hub--------siteplayer I would rather not have my pc on while I am away from to have the SitePlayer sending data to my web page. Is this the way to go and/or will it work? Exchange my DSL-USB modem for a DSL ethernet modem, plug it into a hub and have SitePlayer plugged into the hub for access to my web page without the pc being on. DSL Ethernet modem------------hub------------siteplayer pc--------------------| (pc not turned on) Thank you for any assitance you can provide! William |

your second option will work. change your USB for an ethernet and plug that DSL into the hub. then you can plug the PC and the Siteplayer into the hub and share the conection. this is in the simplest form. I would install more, Like a firewall. there is open access to your PC and siteplayer. --- William Keith <> wrote: > Hello > > I have ordered DSL service with a DSL-USB modem. > I have also order the SitePlayer. > > I have a few questions as I am not sure about how the devise accesses > > the internet. > > With my new DSL-USB modem I must have my pc on at all times for for > the SitePlayer to have access to my web page. if you have trouble with this setup, I have a friend at my work that is a networking guru. I'll forward his address after I ask him if it is ok. --- William Keith <> wrote: > Hello Tony > > Thanks for your advise!
