Apologies - Author Unknown - Sep 30 1:27:00 2001

That last post, while probably of interest in this board, was Stamp heavy
and intended for the basicstamps yahoogroup. I didn't read my To: line
closely enough.

SitePlayer... - ffolkes - Sep 30 3:50:00 2001

Hello-

I know this should really be posted to the SitePlayer mailing list, but I'm
too lazy to join it, since I don't even own one.

1. How does SitePlayer deal with dynamic things? Does it "talk" to the
BX-24? What would happen if I wanted it to say "LED1 is on" or "LED1 is off"?
2. Does SitePlayer have any pre-HTML parsing abilities? I don't know if any
of you are familiar with PHP. PHP is for "normal" web servers, and it
enables you to do many things, such as "16 + 1 = <?echo 16+1;?>". The end
user would just see "16 + 1 = 17" while 17 was never hard coded there. Thus
being dynamic. I guess what I want to know is, can SitePlayer change
backgrounds and such depending on a dynamic condition?

Also, I find it annoying the way NetMedia puts "$29.95" all over the place
on the SitePlayer website...I just found out a few minutes ago, it's really
$99.95. I initially went there, saw $29.95, and assumed that was the price
for what was pictured. Now that I read deeper, I realize it's really $99.95
unless I want to do massive work myself (aka making a 10 Base-T interface /
serial port interface). Does the SPK1 come with a SitePlayer?

Thanks.

TM
