I'm working on a plotter project that uses a servo amp and motor/encoder in two axis. I've come to the conclusion that rather than use a torque tube to drive side two of the X-Axis, I would prefer to use a second X motor (automatic beam squaring, etc...). I have a servo amplifer IC and would like to put it to use instead of ordering another servo controller module. I'm curious if anyone has linked two motors like this? Know of a web site showing how or at least theory or hints as to how it can be done? Thanks for your help Mike |

Two normal servos can be combined by putting them in parallel. But make sure that the system can deliver the power for two servos. Kind regards, Tom I'm using a lynxmotion robot, and the base arm is powered by two servos which are connected in parallel and pluged ino one output of my servo controller. €-----Original Message----- €From: Mike Anderson [mailto:] €Sent: woensdag 27 maart 2002 3:12 €To: €Subject: [BasicX] Slave servo € € €I'm working on a plotter project that uses a servo €amp and motor/encoder in two axis.
