fpga-cpu policy change: new members first post(s) are moderated to preclude spam - Jan Gray - Oct 13 9:54:00 2002

It was only a matter of time before spammers started subscribing to
only-members-can-post mailing lists like fpga-cpu, in order to spam
them.

I will not tolerate spam on this list. Therefore, I have changed the
list posting settings from
'members postings are unmoderated'
to
'current members postings are unmoderated, but
*new* members' postings are moderated'.

Spam will not be approved by your moderator, and you shouldn't see any.

Conversely, I will manually reset each new member's posting privilege to
'unmoderated' after their first non-spam posting(s).

This trades off extra work for me, and some one-time moderation latency
for new members, against the scourge of spam.

As always, please do not hesitate to write me back with your comments
and suggestions.

Jan Gray, Gray Research LLC p.s. I know some of you out there are cranking out new processors and
systems. Some of you are evaluating Nios, MicroBlaze, PicoBlaze, and
other solutions. Please share your experiences with us!
