hi, I am a new comer to this field of fpga(i.e i dont have any practical experience). Gayatri, FYI, this group is not meant to discuss just the details of FPGA. U should probably try to join the groups such as or http://www.fpga-faq.com/ the COMP.ARCH.FPGA group. They will be able to get u good information on FPGA and related stuff. Hope this doesnt't disappoint U. For JTAG u r study should focus on the Brief General overview of technology and then detailed study JTAG support in the Vendor and FPGA family of interest.
