ExpressIP Ltd would like to introduce their FPGA board (and free programmer) to the fpga-cpu news group.
The boards uses a Xilinx FPGA and has support devices to support a cpu based design.
Also with the board ExpressIP gives away FREE IP CORES and example applications that run on the board.

Theses include (free):-
a.. 16-bit microprocessor, I-cache, D-cache with 'C' compiler/assembler/ basic runtime library support. Source code included (VHDL). Uses the LCC 'C' compiler with an XSOC modified target and assembler
b.. High performance SDRAM controller, can achieve 106M bytes data rate at 54MHz
c.. PS2 (mouse) controller for controlling the free GUI applications.
d.. Graphics User Interface (GUI) controller. (PAL/NTSC TV or VGA output), simple text and selection buttons with the included mouse.
e.. RS232 (UART) controller
f.. DMA engines. Read, Write and block copy to and from SDRAM memory.
g.. Processor / user configuration space controller to use internal to the fpga, can be used as a cpu boot up memory.
These have been integrated into some application examples for learning and educational means.
i.e. One example is a functional logic analyzer, 16 data channel and 4 trigger channels.
