I'm looking for a FPGA development kit with at least a Virtex 400. It should contain SDRAM, SRAM, FLASH, DAC, VGA, PS/2, USB, JTAG, UART... Actually I was interested in the ADS-XLX-VE-DEV from Avnet, but the German branch SILICA is not willing to sell to a privat person. Where can I get such an FPGA development kit. Thank you very much for your help. |

Hi Friedhelm You might have a look at the XESS XSV series of FPGA boards, see their webpage wwww.xess.com . We are using these boards in several projects and they run very well. If the boards are on stock, XESS is delivering very fast.. The boards are of good quality and work right out of the box, which is not always the case from my experience with other boards. There are also some drawbacks of the XSV boards, as with any board: There are no general purpose IO pins, if you do not want to abandon a bank of RAM. Regards, Christian |

Several good evaluation kits for Virtex can be found at http://www.xess.com. The bad thing is that this company used to have a long delivery time. Bye, Jaba |
