Expanded bus parts - Author Unknown - Apr 15 12:57:00 2005
Guys,
Would a Romless/Flashless S12X be of any interest. Since it has a better bus interface
than the S12, it would make more sense than a Romless S12. Or are there better
alternatives out there?
I have a poll set up here
http://www.freegeeks.net/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&p=1459#1459 for
anyone who is interested. Lets see what happens over the next week or so.
Best Regards

My vote is an enthusiastic yes!
A further recommendation is that Freescale offer such a chip in a shrink DIP
packaging option. We have industrial customers who are averse to using
surface mount chips and they are very stubborn on this point.
I will also vote on the Freegeeks site as soon as my registration comes
through.
