Can we stop the abusive comments?  I am fairly new to the board and
like the technical aspect of it, but am getting tired of all the
whining and bickering.  I get that at home.  All comments and
responses are subject to evaluation by each individual and should be
viewed as such.  Each person has different talent levels and levels of
expertise on ARM.  Such continual abusive and degrading comments only
makes the board less effective, less technically oriented, and
obviously less interesting.  If you don't have anything positive to
add to a post - don't add it.

The only way to improve this is by moderation.  Self-moderation is
almost impossible.  I don't advocate a moderated forum.

I totally agree...this is way out of hand. I'm very disappointed at the 
way a few people have changed a very informative forum into a child's 
playground spitting contest. Many of us, even though we're professional 
embedded programmers are new to the Philips Arm processors. I have gained 
quite a bit of knowledge from this forum...right or wrong...good or 
bad...that's what development is...designing something new and finding the 
answers to issues...the answers are not always correct first time around. 
Can we please get back to business now?

I am the moderator/list owner, and I'll leave things as they are. The MSP430 
group is run in a similar fashion and things can get quite heated there, as 
Paul knows.

I for one will not accept that any of my statements are irrelevant or 
inappropriate to the technical context of the thread. In fact in the 
context of thread histories my latest comments are relatively 'kind' 
and even 'forgiving'.

It has been emphasised time and time again we are tired of continual 
postings from one particular person who has been rambling in a 
paranoid fashion without offering acceptable proof and upsetting a 
lot of people.

Being new, I am not picking on anybody particular.  I just would like
to see a little self-discipline on the forum in the future as we all
are in this to solve problems and build projects.  A lot of the
criticism comments were valid.  That's not the issue.  Let's all just
use a little common sense so that we don't fill up the forum with
non-technical issues and lose interest in posting substance. 
Criticism is great, if it is done properly.  It's a little dishearting
to come into a forum as a new member and see mud flying.
