selecting Ethernet PHY for LPC2378 - vinaya pinto - Mar 2 1:18:21 2007

I am new to this group and just started learning about ARM7 controller which i intend to use in
my new project. I was looking for a ARM7 with on-chip Ethernet controller
and zeroed in on LPC2378. I have not worked with ethernet earlier and i would like to
get some information on Ethernet PHY. Could anyone pls tell me about the
factors to be looked into while selecting a Ethernet PHY.Which one would be
most suitable for using with LPC2378?
Reg,

Hi Vinaya,

I suggest to use the DP83848 chip for your ethernet project with LPC 2378. National Semiconductor is supplying DP83848. Good luck for your application.
