lwIP for LPC2378 not running - "h.belig" - Aug 27 10:30:48 2008

Hello everybody,

I would like to use lwIP and I downloaded lpIPWeb.zip from this forum.
I am using MCB2300 with a LPC2378 (it says "MCB2300 on the board but
shouldn't that be MCB2370?) with uVision3 (evaluation).

Now as a first step I loaded lwIPWeb.hex to see what happens.
The only reaction I could see on the board was "lwIPWeb 15:41:32" on
the LCD display.
When I used the browser, the webpage could not be displayed.

I read that Emre Ertas
(http://www.embeddedrelated.com/groups/lpc2000/show/31440.php) had the
same problem but I could not find a solution in any other thread.

Next I compiled the project with Visual C++ 2008 Express Edition. But
after having loaded the file to the board the result was the same.

Finally I modified the project to be compatible with Keil's uVision3,
but the evaluation software only allows 32kB of code. So that was useless.

Does anybody know if there is still a bug in the original lwIPWeb
project or what the problem is?
My LPC2378 is silicon revision "B". So the "PINSEL2 bug" should not be
the reason I suppose.

Regards,
Henry

RE: lwIP for LPC2378 not running - Paul Claessen - Aug 27 11:30:43 2008

"Next I compiled the project with Visual C++ 2008 Express Edition. "

*blink*

"But after having loaded the file to the board the result was the same."

I guess your second step should be to get a decent IDE (or just compiler)
that properly generates ARM code!

~ Paul Claessen

And no, MCB2300 should NOT be MCB2370. It's just a generic 23xx EVK board
designation from Keil.
They come in different flavors (2378, 2388.)
