Linux - Ravi - Aug 29 14:40:19 2008

Dear All,
I would like to use Linux OS instead of WinXP for
embedded programming.
Prevously I was using WinARM + FlashMagic tools.

What are the tools available on Linux for compiling and porting code
on ARM Chip ?

waiting for reply

Ravi

GCC. But for what reason you want such a monster of an OS.

Did you consider the overhead for such thing (ROM,RAM, boottime,...)

Maybe you go to one of the "embedded Linux" companies (MontaVista comes=20
to mind, and DENX).

I think Ravi was referring to his BUILD environment, not the execution plat=
form!

GNUARM and lpc21isp (for device programming, if appropriate). You can
certainly use the command line but I prefer Eclipse as an IDE. Select
the C/C++ Developers version from here:
