UARTs and FIFO - extra300_it - Jun 21 2:30:00 2005

Hello everybody.

Has anybody used UARTS with FIFO enabled on LPC22xx?
At first, I found this a big idea, but now that I'm trying to make it
work it doesn't seem to be so good...
The manual does not help much in explainig how they work.

What about the FIFO reset bits? Do they work at all?
What about the FIFO threshold settings? Apart from default setting,
where else can you define the THRE thresholds?

But the biggest problem is I still can't disable the RX of characters
when working with FIFO.
It keeps on storing no matter if I try to clear it/disable RX
interrupts etc.

Thank you in advance for any suggestion.
