My last project was on a at90s8535. It went easy, but for my current project, I need some MUSCLE John Samperi <samperi@ampertron To: ics.com.au> cc: Subject: RE: [m68HC11] 68HC811 [was 68HC24 PRU] 11/19/2003 03:55 PM Please respond to m68HC11 At 07:47 AM 19/11/03 -0600, you wrote: >John, you could jump back to motorola with the mc56f8323 flash dsp. Then I would have to learn it all new again and I don't need DSP :-) The HC11 (and the 811) have been more than powerfull enough for about 10 years. So I made the mental break from the Motorola architecture and very happy that I did, thanks to them not wanting to do any more work with the HC11. With the AVR I have the same core wether I use an 8 pin or 128 pin device and I can scale my code accordingly. Most instructions execute in 1 clock cycle so it is extremely fast...well they say that a change is as good as a holiday...so I save more money by not going on holidays :-) Regards John Samperi ****************************************************** Ampertronics Pty.
