mc68hc711e2fcn2 - kokhuikang - Dec 31 5:39:00 2004

can anybody tell me is it possible for me to use MC68HC711E2FCN2's
EPROM. How i can do that if i am intend to use bootstrap mode. This
MCU doesn't has the quartz window to be exposed to the UV light. So
how can i erase the loaded program inside EPROM? Is it i can load
the program through MAX232 from computer's serial port?

Now is it possible for me to buy MC68HC811E2?? How?Where? How about
the price too?

Thanks a lot your help.

Where do you get the idea that the E2 has EPROM onchip?.

See Section 2.3.4 of the "White Book".

Further, you seem to be confused about 'HC11 varients. I've never heard of
a MC68HC711E2, I've only seen the MC68HC811E2. See Section 1.5 of the
"White Book". > How i can do that if i am intend to use bootstrap mode.

???

Correct.

Since there ain't no EPROM there, what are you going to load.

I think you need to go get the documentation for the 'E2 and read it a bit. > Now is it possible for me to buy MC68HC811E2?? How?Where? How about

The 'E2 is an obsolete part only obtainable from surplus suppliers and
chip-brokers.

See http://www.chipdir.org Forget the E2 and look at the E9 or other Moto (Freescale) MCU's!!

The E2 is out of production, but there are probably a few around. The 711E2
is OTP... One Time Programmable.... no erase window The F1 and E9 and other HC11s have eraseable eeprom, but not a lot. Better
to buy a Tech Arts microstamp that has 32k ram and 32k rom. [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
