I am starting to teach a class based on the M68HC11E9. What are the best available s/w options, i.e. assmblers, simulators, C compilers, etc. |

Imagecraft has an evel hc11 compiler good for 30 days... how long is the class? (bummer if the compiler times out right at the final project....) There are enough third party tools out there that this will surely invoke a religious argument. My vote is strongly for ICC11 (works well and very attractive price) and Jbug11 for programming and debug (you can't beat the price and it works very well, surely beats many of PCBUG11s problems). There is a lot available on the Net. My assembler is here: http://www.aspisys.com/asm11.htm There you will also find links to my preferred simulators as well as the HC11 WebRing which has additional links to many more tools (software and hardware). ----- Original Message ----- From: <> To: <> Sent: Monday, October 28, 2002 11:03 PM Subject: [m68HC11] > I am starting to teach a class based on the M68HC11E9. > What are the best available s/w options, i.e. assmblers, simulators, C > compilers, etc. |

Hi, We use the MiniIDE, http://www.mgtek.com/products/miniide/, for development, assembly and moving the code to RAM. Works quite well. Free down load for a "post card". The HC11 is in the AD11C24DXSP60K(SB)supplied by http://www.technologicalarts.com/ . This includes the 68HC11E1CFN2 MCU, 68HC24 Port Replacement Unit, Buffalo monitor, 32K EEPROM and 28K RAM. The students purchase the unit. We download to EEPROM using their MiroLoad program available from their home page.
