Hello,
The datasheet, page 1, of MSP430F5438 boasts Active Mode (AM): 165 uA/MHz at 8 MHz. Does this current requirement scale up linearly with frequency?

A Micro Crystal is included with a MSP-FET430U100A development kit,but no instructions. Hence is it suppose to be installed on the target board or is just a free sample?

I have a MSP430F2012 running off a 3.3V supply.
When I set any port high I measure about 3.1VDC with no load.
