SimpliciTI or Zigbee - thegrove216 - Aug 5 16:29:52 2008

I'm a plinker and research designer. I want to do some self teaching
about wireless data transfer. I found this helpful article at
embedded.com
http://www.embedded.com/design/networking/208402988
http://www.embedded.com/design/networking/208403209

In summation they conclude that zigbee would be the preference for
designers who benefit from interoperability with & support of various
vendors and long battery life, which sounds like my final
applications. I don't see the need for a whole lot of bandwidth such
as video, perhaps audio sampled at 48khz at most. I'm not sure if I'm
biting more off than I can chew with Zigbee. Is SimpliciTI platform
better to start off for a beginner? Or..would I be over my head before
I even start?

Thanks,
Eric
