Program and Erase supply voltage must=2.5V~3.6V in MSP430F42x0? - Jerry Yu - Aug 25 23:55:12 2008

Dear all,
I want to erase and program SegmentA&SegmentB.
then ,the Vcc must=2.5V~3.6V? (the device is MSP430F4270)
My supply power Vcc is 2.48V+-0.5%.
and the slau056 user guild said:
The minimum VCC voltage during a flash write or erase operation is between
2.2 V and 2.7 V (see the device-specific data sheet). If VCC falls below the
minimum VCC during a write or erase, the result of the write or erase will be
unpredictable.

There is an absolute minimum voltage required that varies based on family, =
but there is also a second minimum that varies based on clock frequency,,,=

Dear Joe,
my MCLK is 2MHz.
fFTG =2MHz/(4+2)=333kHz.
Thanks!

The TI ratings are generallly pretty conservative.. at your clock rate I don't see any problems...

Its been my experience that TI parts generally operate well beyond their sp=
ecifications under normal conditions.. Unless you are operating at very hig=
h or low=A0temperatures, you should not have any issues..
