Why the Chinese event would be a blast? Their registration website
seems to show some difference from others but what else? Do they give
free kits?
BTW, I am just starting with Luminary ARMs and at least TI kept the
good support from Luminary. Talking about ARM architecture I see
nothing better than a cool orthogonal MSP. ARM's architecture is a
joke. How could it be so sucessfull in business? I have to use it
because the peripheral set, only. I did not check MIP's architecture,
yet, but even if it is better than ARM still have not the same
peripheral offering. I strongly believe there still a good market
share for a MCU with lots of peripherals and a trully nice
architecture.
Sorry for this OT. Could not avoid making a comment about...

Check out the link on Ti's web site, and see who's sponsoring it.
Perhaps I'm just too old! Or too easily amused. Or still in that happy
place after watching the Woodstock 40th Anniversary DVD 'unreleased'
tracks & footage earlier.
BTW I agree on the architecture and peripheral mix. it's one reason I've
stayed with the MSP430. More, and better timer structure than most low
end micros, nice A/D converter on the 12 bit parts

Yap.. Lierda, but it doesn't ring a bell. Maybe because I am far
away of some electronic road (since I see no more than a simple
distributor), or because I try to avoid comparing this name to a near
similiar latin word... Either way I do agree about Woodstock mood
enhancement. I remember when Woodstock movie was released here all
movie theaters asked police support because the "young" audience were
quite effusive. I went to the theater with a Violin and a friend with
a Flute... hehe.. when some cops did try to block us the crowd came
over and as a result we got a front seat view... and some new
friends.

One of my favourite childish amusements when the wife drags me out
shopping is when the shop assistant says Hi! I reply "No, I just look
dopey...", or when when they say "How are you?" rather than the boringly
pat "Fine, yourself?" my standard response is something like "I'm beyond
redemption, and you?"
