i was curious, (which is dangerous), but anyway do you need a driver for a stepper motor to use with the ooPIC since it has an object for a stepper motor? i don't know much bo... what is needed

Yes. The PIC can only drive a few milliamps, you'll need a driver to push current through those windings. For bipolar you'll need two H-Bridges, for unipolar you'll need four... Re:  what is needed
