Help with Oopic A1.7 - funreido - Mar 18 17:02:55 2008

I brought Oopic A1.7 a long time ago and did not use it since. Now I
want to use it with 16 Alpha LED Display. I need the manual and
software for it. I have 9v wire and cable into computer. I am not sure
if it is parallel or not. It has been awhile. I could not find manual
for A1.7 and driver in Oopic.com. Can someone tell where I can download
the old manual and software for it or it is too late and need to order
a new one. I don't want spend $$ for a new one. I was hope someone
could send me the old manual and softwre for it. reidsim at gmail dot
com.

The original V5 documentation is not available online. Well, it may
be but I don't know how to find it. However, the IDE has abbreviated
information via the Help menu. V5 will work with the chip. Your only
option is the parallel cable and you must have a REAL parallel port on
your computer. Don't forget to install Port95NT.exe BEFORE you
install the IDE. See www.oopic.com/dloadp.html

V6 will probably work with the chip as well. The documentation at
OOPic.com indicates which objects work with which chip versions.
Given an old chip and a new IDE/compiler, you will be on the bleeding
edge of discovery. You will still need the parallel cable and
Port95NT.exe

Personally, I would use V5 with the built-in documentation and refer
to the examples that come with the IDE. Some won't work, of course,
because of the chip version. Still, there is a lot of information in
the examples.

Thank you Dennis. That is what I am looking for. Which version should
I use for Oopic A.1.7 Ver 5 or 4? Can we use ver 6? What about
manual that we can download?
