A2D10 Sonar Problem - jon_mark_go - Mar 22 19:19:43 2008
I have three sonar sensors hooked up to the OOPic. I am testing two of
them right now. I put objects equal distances from each and loop
through... But for some reason the second one always ends up spiking
to a value much higher than it should be. I tried replacing the sensor
with a new one, same issue, I even used different connections on the
OOPic... They are all A2D10 objects and are MaxSonar EZ sonar sensors.
Any ideas on why only one side of the bot would spike the sensor?

Whatever sensor I have to use would have to be unaffected by small
discrepencies and even mirrors on the walls.

Looks more like electrical interference perhaps... I stopped all but
the left sensor from pulsing and it still spikes.

Do you have additional capacitors on those power lines? Most sensors
spike current when they fire. I usually put a 100uf cap on the power
bus right where the sensors link to power and a .1uf as well. The
former provides energy when a large demand is called for and the latter
removes any high-frequency noise that the sensor might generate to avoid
messing with the reading.
