I need a PIC expert in Southeast Michigan - Joe Tackett - Sep 17 17:55:54 2008
Hello PIC people,
My name is Joe Tackett.
I have a patented invention that I am developing for worldwide sales.
It uses PIC controllers, and I need to either hire, or partner with, a
PIC expert.
You will have to be very good, and have a basic understanding of music,
music files (WAV, MP3, etc.) and how MIDI works.
I'm having trouble locating any PIC users/programmers in Southeast
Michigan. So, if anyone can point me in the right direction, I would
really appreciate it.
All the best,
JT

Joe
Microchip has run forums in Grand Rapids from time to time, so there ought
to be some folks in the area. You might give the Microchip sales office a
call, they should have leads.
Be careful. Any software developer who knows what he is doing will give you
time estimates a lot longer than you expect, probably an order of magnitude
or so. He will also be frightfully expensive. If someone gives you a
"reasonable" estimate, he probably doesn't know what he is doing. There are
people who know how to estimate embedded software, but they are few and far
between.
On the other hand, there ought to be a lot of unemployed auto engineers
floating around.
